Vindico has been appointed by the Sharjah Cooperative Society to provide a complete retail design and delivery solution for their Al Rahmania Mall.
The scope of work includes all four of Vindico’s products – Content, Design, Manage and OnSite, inside a flexible service level agreement that aligns retail delivery outcomes with actual project activity. “Shopping centre development is difficult,” says Paul Mathews, Vindico’s Director of Retail Delivery. “We understand the leasing and construction processes and risks our clients manage, and focus on outcomes achieved rather than hours worked to help manage those risks.”
Sharjah Cooperative Society’s Al Rahmania Mall, anchored by the developer’s own hypermarket, will play host to a large number of retail and restaurant brands new to Sharjah.
Al Rahmania Mall, anchored by the developer’s own Sharjah Cooperative Society Hypermarket, includes 112 shops and restaurants across 20,043 square metres of GLA, many of which will be brands making their debut in the Emirate of Sharjah.
As the region’s leading retail delivery consultant, Vindico brings ongoing working relationships with many of Al Rahmania’s tenants and suppliers to support the process of getting these brands open on time.
“We are very pleased to be able to bring world class services to an organization that has a strong community role beyond its core retailing business,” comments Thomas Sandham, Vindico’s Head of Retail Delivery. “Sharjah Cooperative Society’s successful model allows it to support many cultural, charitable, humanitarian, medical and educational activities.”
“The fixed cost of a traditional, resource-based solution did not work for this project. Without an alternative, our client’s brand partners would have more barriers to overcome to get their shops and restaurants open and earning on time. Delayed openings take away from the customer experience, and for a client with such a strong social conscience, diminishes their capacity to give back to the community.”
