ABU DHABI & LONDON: A joint venture between Vindico and leading airport planners & designers The Design Solution has been appointed by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (‘ADAC’) to continue the development of design proposals for the iconic Midfield Terminal project in Abu Dhabi.
In an industry first, ADAC appointed two consortia to prepare competing proposals to enhance the retail planning & design for the new terminal, with the preferred solution advancing into detailed planning. The fastrack process involved a series of formal presentations and workshops to a judging panel made up of ADAC Executives and industry experts.
The Midfield Terminal Project will be home to Etihad Airways, with a capacity for 40million passengers annually and aspirations to establish one of the world’s finest airport retail offers.
