  5. Vindico and LuLu Group Agree Retail Design Review Services for Oman.

Vindico and LuLu Group International have signed a retail delivery service agreement covering twenty LuLu Hypermarket anchored properties across the Sultanate of Oman.

The role sees Vindico deploy its online design portal as part of unit-by-unit retail delivery design solution for specialty retail and food & beverage units, building on the successful delivery of LuLu’s Oman Avenues Mall project in Muscat.

Vindico’s unit fee model means our costs are aligned to actual tenant turnover in the properties. We only pay for work that is needed, and we know what we are getting.

“Vindico’s flexible model worked for us at the Oman Avenues Mall project, where their design team in Dubai coordinated well with our project team in Oman,” comments Gogi George, General Manager – Product Development & Leasing at LuLu. “We have extended this approach into our operating portfolio, and have chosen one part of the retail delivery solution that adds the most value for us.”

“Vindico’s unit fee model means our costs are aligned to actual tenant turnover in the properties. We only pay for work that is needed, and we know what we are getting,” adds George.

The LuLu Oman appointment demonstrates further traction in the evolution of Vindico’s business model, offering clients productised services better able to meet their needs than a traditional deployed resource approach.

The retail delivery relationship between LuLu Group International and Vindico commenced at Oman Avenues Mall in Muscat, which is now part of the twenty properties in Oman covered by the new retail delivery services agreement.

“We are excited to be working with LuLu Group in Oman again”, says Lynn Hemingway, Vindico’s Head of Retail Delivery for Oman. “This role demonstrates how we are able to meet our Clients’ needs in new ways, with a productised view of our services in a flexible fee model that reflects their business.”

“We will always enjoy getting big projects open on time, but as a business, we are are excited at how we can help get shops and restaurants open in less time across the full spectrum of retail property types and the tenants and brands within them.”

Building Relationships across Brands & Buildings

Earlier this year LuLu Group International opened a new hypermarket concept at Aldar’s The Mall at World Trade Centre in Abu Dhabi.

Vindico, as Retail Delivery Managers for the Aldar portfolio, worked closely with Lulu to coordinate the design and fitout of their new concept store into the existing retail building.

“As the relationship between Landlords and Tenants evolves in line with the rapidly changing retail landscape, the shared goal of giving customers quality shops and restaurants that are open sooner supersedes the old, adversarial view of how this relationship should work,” comments Vindico Managing Director, Richard Kim.

“Having delivered over 9,000 shops and restaurants, our knowledge of how tenants and the brands they manage has developed over multiple openings across many projects and properties. Everyone benefits when the person sitting between a retail building and the brand going into it knows each of them well.”

“We were able to get to the solutions needed for a successful opening such as this one quicker because of our knowledge of the people, processes and information on both sides of the landlord-tenant relationship”, concludes Kim.
