DUBAI: Aldar, Abu Dhabi’s leading real estate developer, has re-appointed Vindico to an expanded retail delivery design & management role across its retail property portfolio.
“Vindico has been a continuous part of Aldar’s retail story since 2008,” says Scott Strader, Vindico Sales Director, “in which time we have supported the opening of over 600 tenants’ shops and restaurants in Aldar properties. We are very pleased that that the working relationship between us has endured and evolved as Aldar’s focus shifts from development projects to trading assets.”

Vindico has provided retail delivery design and management teams to the World Trade Center Mall, Boutik Al Ain (now Remal Mall) and Yas Mall projects, assisting retailers navigate complex construction and authorities’ interfaces throughout the design, fitout and mobilisation processes. In 2014, Aldar challenged Vindico to fast track the opening of new and refurbished shops and restaurants across its portfolio of 21 community shopping centres.
“Our blended site and studio team has been successful in working with Aldar to audit and improve the retail delivery framework for community centres,” adds Paul Mathews, Vindico Senior Retail Delivery Manager. “As the development projects have stabilised into trading assets, including Yas Mall where the centre was fully trading twelve months after its successful opening, it made sense to combine a year’s worth of set-up in the community assets with our deep understanding of the major projects into a single, consolidated appointment.”
Vindico and Aldar negotiated an integrated retail delivery strategy, design and management solution based on a service level agreement which gives both supplier and client the freedom to respond to the variable volumes of activity across the properties.
