The A’l Bahar retail and dining project opened yesterday, with twenty food & beverage and four retail operators open and earning on time, ready for visitors to the Mother of the Nation Festival being held this weekend.
Foodservice operators ready to serve visitors to the Mother of the Nation Festival being held at A’l Bahar in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
“This was a very tight programme,” comments Paul Wagner, Vindico’s Head of Retail Delivery for Abu Dhabi, “in which we took Miral’s tenants through the design and fitout process in two weeks, at the same time time working with Miral’s project team to get the converted containers ready for retail. The last container was delivered to site fifteen days ago.”
The use of recycled containers continues the retail real estate industry’s consolidation of alternative formats, particularly in foodservice destinations, which Miral Asset Management has designed into Abu Dhabi’s well loved Corniche precinct.
“The relationship between brands-and-buildings continues to evolve, and what we have achieved for Miral is a reflection of how we see the retail delivery role developing,” adds Vindico Managing Director, Richard Kim.
“The traditional line between tenant project management and landlord tenant coordination continues to blur. Retail delivery spans this overlap, and the opening of A’l Bahar is a good example of this working well to get these spaces open on time ahead of a very public and important deadline for our Client.”
Local and international brands are equally at home trading from the recycled containers at Miral’s A’l Bahar development in Abu Dhabi.
Celebrating the inspirational legacy of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation Festival runs from today through Saturday, March 31. Further information and tickets to the Festival is available here.
