Dubai, UAE: Gossip Cafe & Desserts, a home grown UAE food & beverage brand led by one of the country’s leading business women, has opened its latest concept, Gossip Street X Dubai in the popular La Mer development with Vindico representing the brand through the design, fitout and approvals processes.
The Gossip Street X Dubai concept, which opened on February 17th, is the latest outlet in the rapidly growing chain launched by Dr Shayma Nawaf Mohamed Ali Fawwaz, named ‘Best Businesswoman of 2017‘ at The Mohammad Bin Rashid Awards for Young Business Leaders.
Vindico represented Gossip Street X Dubai through the design and fitout process for its latest outlet in Dubai’s La Mer.The opening of Gossip Street X Dubai is part of Vindico’s strategic response to the changing relationship between brands and buildings.
“We are very pleased to have opened Gossip Street X Dubai at La Mer,” comments Vikram Rajan, Operations Manager. “This was our first outlet where Vindico worked with us on managing the design and fitout. It was a success, particularly in how the Vindico team helped us navigate the Landlord’s approvals process, something they understand very well.”
As Tenant Coordination specialists, Vindico has supported retailers and their brands open over 9,000 shops and restaurants by being a point-of-contact into their Landlords’ design and fitout information and approvals processes. As the physical relationship between brands and buildings changes inside an evolving retail real estate industry, the line between Landlord and Tenant is blurring.
“One element of our strategic response to the changing retail landscape is to make the logical move into managing design and fitout directly for brands”, explains Vindico Managing Director, Richard Kim.

Nihad Muzamil, Senior Retail Delivery Manager is overseeing Vindico’s brand services. “We have interrogated the retail delivery process from both the landlord and tenant perspectives in detail to understand the overlaps between ‘project management’ and ‘tenant coordination’. There are plenty, and we can create efficiency and value for both landlords and tenants where these roles become more concurrent.”
